By visiting our website, joining our waitlist, or using our mobile app (once launched), you agree to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Friendly Elephant is a community-driven platform designed to help people meet kind, curious, and brave individuals through shared dinners and experiences. Our mission is to foster genuine connection, self-reflection, and belonging.

Our Services

Friendly Elephant curates group dinners and other in-person experiences (“Events”) to bring together small groups of people for meaningful conversation.

We may also offer self-reflection features, affirmations, or digital prompts to enhance your journey of connection.

Initially, our service is available in Atlanta (USA), with plans to expand to additional cities over time.

We act solely as a facilitator for these gatherings. We do not own or operate the restaurants or venues used for our Events.

 

Eligibility

To join our community, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.

  • Provide accurate, truthful information when signing up.

  • Agree to participate respectfully, upholding our community values: kindness, curiosity, and bravery.

We reserve the right to remove anyone who violates these values or any applicable laws.

 

Community Guidelines

Friendly Elephant thrives on empathy and trust.

When participating in Events, you agree to:

  • Treat others with respect, regardless of background or opinion.

  • Avoid harassment, discrimination, or any form of harm.

  • Respect others’ privacy — no sharing of personal stories or photos without consent.

  • Abstain from promoting businesses, politics, or religious agendas during events.

Anyone violating these guidelines may be removed or permanently barred from participation.

 

Reservations and Cancellations

For paid dinners or events (once implemented):

  • Reservations are confirmed only after payment.

  • Cancellations within 48 hours of the event may not be eligible for refund.

  • No-shows impact future invitations — please respect the commitment you make.

For now, joining our waitlist is free and non-binding.

 

Feedback and Reflections

After each dinner, participants are requested to provide reflections about their experience.

This information not just improves our matching process but is an integral part of the experience in order to foster personal growth.

 

Intellectual Property

All content on our website and app — including our logo, mascot “Ira the Elephant,” text, graphics, design, and software — is the exclusive property of Friendly Elephant Private Limited.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or exploit any part of our materials without written permission.

 

Limitation of Liability

Friendly Elephant acts only as a connector.

We cannot guarantee:

  • The exact mix of attendees at any dinner or event.

  • That participants will form friendships.

  • The safety or quality of third-party venues.

By attending, you agree that participation is voluntary and at your own risk.

Friendly Elephant is not liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from participation, except where required by law.

 

Privacy and Data

We collect limited information such as your name, email, and city preferences to keep you informed about upcoming events.

All data is processed in line with our Privacy Policy.

We will never sell your personal information to third parties.

 

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically.

If we make significant changes, we’ll update the “Last Updated” date above.

Continued use of our services means you accept the revised Terms.

 

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

Users accessing our website or services from outside India are responsible for compliance with their local laws.

Any disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
